Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp by combining olive oil and spices in a bowl. Toss in the shrimp and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  2. While the shrimp marinates, prepare the slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, carrots, cilantro, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and slightly charred.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side. Assemble tacos by layering shrimp onto tortillas and topping with slaw.
