  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 head broccoli
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef by mixing sliced flank steak with soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by combining chicken stock, Shaoxing wine, soy sauces, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl.
  3. Steam broccoli for 1 minute until just tender; set aside.
  4. In a hot skillet, cook the marinated beef until browned on both sides.
  5. Add minced garlic and ginger; stir briefly.
  6. Combine broccoli with beef and pour in the prepared sauce. Cook until thickened.
