  • 2 lbs 80/20 ground beef
  • 12 pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 11 slices Colby Jack cheese (or American cheese)
  • 1 large sweet onion (diced)
  • 24 dill pickles
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons pickled juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to broil.
  2. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place them cut side up on a baking sheet. Brush inside with melted butter and broil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Reduce heat to 350°F. Mix ground beef with salt and pepper in a bowl, then press into a casserole dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Sauté diced onions in butter until browned (about 15 minutes).
  5. Drain excess grease from cooked beef and assemble sliders: layer pickles on bottom buns, add beef slab, top with cheese and onions before placing on top buns.
  6. Brush top buns with remaining melted butter and return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted.
