Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle vodka
  • 3.5 cups water
  • 2.5 cups sugar

Instructions

  2. Trim away any pith from the peels.
  3. Steep the peels in vodka in a covered pitcher at room temperature for 4 days.
  4. Prepare a sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water over medium heat; cool completely.
  5. Mix the cooled syrup with the vodka and lemon mixture; let stand overnight.
  6. Strain through a mesh strainer into clean bottles and refrigerate.
