Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken thighs (or breasts), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- Skewers for grilling
Instructions
- Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining all ingredients in a saucepan, simmering until thickened.
- Marinate chicken in half of the cooled sauce in a ziplock bag for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat and thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
- Grill for about 20-30 minutes, turning frequently and basting with remaining sauce until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Serve garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
